Answer: B) ICICI Bank Explanation: India’s first contactless business credit card has been launched by ICICI bank in association with Jet Airways, India premier international airline, for Small and Mid-sized Enterprises (SMEs) and their employees. The card has been christened as the ‘Jet Airways ICICI Bank Business Advantage Card’, which helps customers to save on their business expenses. The card is powered by the ‘VISA payWave’ contactless technology that enables the cardholder to make payments by simply tapping the card at contactless enabled terminals in more than 48 countries, including India. The card can also be used by dipping or swiping at non-contactless merchants.

Answer: D) India Explanation: Indian teen Rifath Sharook from Tamil Nadu has designed the world’s lightest & smallest satellite named “KalamSat”. The satellite weighs only 64 grams and will be launched by NASA on June 21, 2017. With this, he will become the first Indian student to have his experiment launched by NASA. The main role of the satellite will be to demonstrate the performance of 3-D printed carbon fibre. The satellite has been designed in a way which will have a 240-minute mission in space and will operate for 12 minutes in a micro-gravity environment of space.

Answer: B) Indian Institutes of Engineering Science Technology Explanation: The Indian Institute of Engineering Science and Technology (IIEST) has successfully created the country’s first smart grid project, which will generate power from renewable sources of energy.  The project will soon be inaugurated by President Pranab Mukherjee, IIEST Director Prof Ajoy Kumar Roy. The smart grid will be synchronised to generate power from solar, wind and vegetable waste resources, depending on the weather conditions and availability of waste products. It is the first of its kind in the country.

The multi-level car park, located near the old KMD bus stand on Maulana Azad Road, has been set up at a cost of Rs 27.15 crore and has a capacity to hold 288 vehicles.

Answer: A) Hooghly River Explanation: The boring of India’s first underwater rail tunnel under the Hooghly River for establishing metro link between Howrah and Kolkata has completed before its scheduled deadline of July 2017. The tunnel is 16.6 km long, out of which 10.8 km runs under the ground. Of this 10.8 km, 502 metres is under the water and the whole thing connects Howrah to the west and Salt lake to the east. It will have 12 stations and six will be underground. Estimated cost of the entire project is $750 million or about Rs 5,000 crores. The final commissioning of the project is expected by December 2019, following which it will be operational. The project is built by Afcons Transtonnelstroy and implemented by Kolkata Metro Railway Corporation Ltd (KMRCL).
