Telangana's Eturanagaram Wildlife Sanctuary faces forest fire in Tadvai area. Established in 1953, it is located near the Maharashtra, Chhattisgarh and Telangana borders, bounded by the Dayam Vaagu River. Famous for the Sammakka Sarakka Jathara, it passes through the Godavari River. The vegetation consists of tropical dry deciduous type with teak, bamboo and creepers. Notable fauna include the Indian gaur, giant squirrel, tiger, leopard and sloth bear and wild dog among many others.
